  3. this shows a color map being applied with a stencil.  The front square on the left uses a stencil, and the one on the right does not.

  12. the second sqaure is just a polygon with the color map applied.
  13. the third square is a polygon with alpha transparency applied, but the ambient not turned off.

  20. my favorate, a label on a glass bottle.  The one in the center is the final result.
  21. the back left bottle is just the glass bottle without the map.
  22. the second bottle is the transparency mapped:  so it has a black square.
  23. the third back bottle is diffuse mapped with the alpha channel.
  24. and the forth bottle is a bottle just with color, mapped.
